Doug Potts’s life continues on its downward spiral caused by poor Gerry’s death – and evil Terry’s scam – next week, when he loses his temper and smashes up a police car!
But there’s hope on the horizon, when Liv Flaherty smells a rat about Lachlan’s involvement in Doug’s downfall. Could she work it all out?
And if she does, could she be Lachlan’s next victim?
Doug’s devastated by Terry’s betrayal and pours his heart out to Lachlan (not the best idea).
Pollard’s not happy either, having found out it’s going to cost £25,000 to repair the B&B, and Laurel’s worried when Diane reveals she’s not going to Doug’s court hearing.
Later, Doug’s frustrations boil over and he smashes up a police car. Obviously, he’s arrested and taken away – and it’s not looking good for poor Mr Potts.
But Lachlan’s guilty conscience surfaces long enough to make him feel guilty about what Doug’s going through and he leaves a tatty backpack full of cash for Pollard to find.
Diane thinks they shouldn’t keep the money, but Doug reveals the truth about Terry and Lachlan talks her into it, too.
Liv, though, can’t help wondering why Lachlan’s so keen for them to keep the dough and starts to get a bit suspicious about the part he’s played in all this mess.
She confronts Lachlan and he admits he left the money.
But when she accuses him of being behind the burglary at the B&B, will he deny it? And will anyone listen to Liv’s concerns?
