EastEnders has lined up a new storyline for Mick Carter that sees him get attacked by a mystery intruder.

While the soap is remaining tight lipped about how Mick will be following the attack, we can reveal that the shocking scenes will be aired next week – so we don’t have long to wait to find out more.

The storyline will see Mick manning the Queen Vic alone – only to hear a strange noise in the pub’s barrel store.

Of course, Mick doesn’t waste any time going to investigate.

As Mick goes to see what’s going on, he’s left stunned when he is jumped on by a strange man wearing a balaclava.

But who is the mystery intruder, and what does he want with Mick?

There is an unexpected storyline set to follow from this scary incident – but fans will have to wait to find out more details.

At the same time in Walford both Mel and Kim are convinced that there is a stalker hanging around – could this tie in with Mick’s mystery attack?

After spotting a car with blacked-out windows hanging around, Mel is convinced there might be a connection to Aidan Maguire.

And then when Hunter mysteriously disappears, Mel begins to panic, thinking he might have been kidnapped.

Kim has also spotted the car and thinks it could be connected to Vincent’s mysterious disappearance.

With Aidan being the link between all three Albert Square residents, could he be lurking in the shadows, or are all incidents completely unrelated?

One thing is for sure, the threat of Mr Maguire still looms large over Walford…

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
