We were all secretly hoping for a Paddy Kirk and Rhona Goskirk reunion after the exes shared a kiss recently. But, having not come to terms with her horrific ordeal at the hands of Pierce Harris, Rhona decided she wasn’t ready to give their romance another try.
Which is a decision both we and the Dales fans fully support.

While we’re still hoping for Rhona to get the happy ever after she deserves after being raped and abused by her husband, we totally get why she isn’t ready to move on.
Meanwhile, Paddy looks set to turn his affections to another of his exes, Chas Dingle, when she makes her return to the Dales in the next few weeks.
In real life actress Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, has been on maternity leave after giving birth to twins. But in Emmerdale world, she’s been abroad helping Liv look after her sick mother.
Dales boss, Iain MacLeod, hasn’t ruled out a Paddy and Rhona reunion, but he has teased it might not be the smooth sailing we’re all hoping for.
He said: “At the point where Chas returns, it seems that Rhona is not an option.
“So the story then becomes, “How do you pursue a new relationship when the woman you thought you’d spend the rest of your life with lives up the road and runs a business with you?”
He added: “You’ll just have to wait and see how this love story involving these three characters pans out.”
Chas and Paddy have something of a chequered history. Paddy was instrumental in helping Aaron and Chas bond when Aaron sought his mum out.
He also helped troubled Aaron come to terms with his sexuality.
But Paddy got hurt, badly, when Chas cheated on him with nasty Carl King. They’ve tried to reignite their relationship a couple of times since then, but have never got past their history.

Whatever happens, it looks like it’s going to be a busy few months for Paddy.
