It looks like rapist Josh Tucker could be about to face the consequences of his sexual assault on David Platt when he is arrested on suspicion of rape next week.

The police turn up to arrest the mechanic after David finally makes the decision to report the rape to the police, with girlfriend Shona Ramsey by his side.
David is spurred into action after being sought out by another one of Josh’s victims, Dec, who doesn’t want to go to the police and wants Shona to stop harassing him.
David also hears heartbroken Johnny Connor reveal to Peter Barlow that he wishes his son Aidan had just spoken to him before taking his own life.
But when the police tell Josh what he’s been accused of, he acts bewildered and as if he doesn’t know what is going on or why he’d be arrested for such a crime.
He’s also managed to prime girlfriend Alya Nazir.by telling her the reason Shona doesn’t like him is because he and David had a one-night stand, leaving Alya shocked.
Later David asks Shona if she can fill Alya in on what happened and Shona is stunned when Alya tells her that Josh has already confessed to having a one-night stand with David.
Shona wastes no time in setting the new factory boss straight, telling her that Josh raped David and that he’s been to the police. Alya doesn’t know who to believe.

Meanwhile, as the police question Josh about the rape allegations, he refuses to make any comment. Will the police get a confession from him?
Back on the Street, with Shona’s support, David finally finds the strength to tell Audrey and Gail about his rape. They listen in horror as he tells them what Josh did, and Gail hugs her son emotionally.
David’s heartbreaking confession then leads Gail to get back in touch with psychic Rosemary and tells her she has found the money and wants dead husband Richard Hillman’s curse lifted once and for all.
