Robert Preston is forced to hide a big secret from his soon-to-be wife Michelle Connor – but forthcoming episodes show it has dire consequences for the couple.
Next week, Robert suffers from excruciating pains hinting at something more sinister…
But, instead of confiding in his fiancée Michelle, he hides the truth and pretends everything is okay.
To be fair, Michelle is already having a horrible time of it as she grieves for Aidan. But, surely Aidan’s suicide should have proven to Robert that it’s essential to talk instead of trying to deal with things on his own?

The Bistro boss suffers the agonising pains when he pushes himself to his limits with an intense workout at the gym.
Actor Tristan Gemmill, who plays Robert, has revealed that his character is struggling to maintain his levels of fitness after giving up steroids.
Talking to Digital Spy, he explained: “Robert has a slightly addictive personality. He needs something to push himself with.
“He’s found he likes his new exercise regime, and the slight vanity of being in shape for a man of his age, so he keeps doing the same exercise programme he was following while on steroids, but without the assistance of the steroids.”

He adds: “He’s pushing his body to the limits and we see him starting to have issues with that. He’s having chest pains and you start to wonder if he’s pushing himself too hard.
“Due to the steroids he’s become addicted to a certain level of exercise and his body can’t cope with it.”
Will Robert’s reluctance to admit the truth to Michelle and get a health check-up end in disaster and jeopardise their forthcoming wedding?
