Love Island’s Samira Mighty and Josh Denzel have disagreed over whether Dr Alex George should pursue the two villa newcomers.
Samira and Alex have been paired up as friends since day one but, as they’re both on the show to find love, it’s no surprise Alex’s head has been turned by the arrivals of Zara McDermott and Ellie Brown.
And Samira just isn’t sure about them…
In Monday night’s episode she clashes with Josh over whether Alex should chase the two newbies, with Josh suggesting Samira just feels “at risk” that she’ll be dumped if Alex finds a connection with someone else.
Josh tells her: “You’re being a bit frosty. It’s Alex’s opportunity… This is his time right now, he has his opportunity.
He adds: “I understand that you feel at risk, a bit nervous, it’s rubbish to see the guy you are coupled up with, your life line in this villa [move on] because these two girls have come in. It’s a risk for you, I get it.”
Samira, however, argues she’d love to Alex to find love, she’s just looking out for him.
“I’m not that stressed,” she insists. “I’ve said from day one… I want him to find someone, he wants me to find someone and the fact is he feels bad because he wants to crack on with someone who he feels likes him.
“I’ve not been nasty or said anything.”
Samira adds in the Beach Hut: “Josh was lecturing me on how Alex should have a chance, the girls are really into Alex and I thought, ‘Hun, I know. You don’t need to chat to me more about this.’
“I just don’t want Alex to get hurt and if it’s genuine he’ll know and if not, he’ll also know.”

She also says: “Obviously we are the single ones, bombshells will come in and it’s the easy option to go for Alex and I because everyone is super comfortable in their couples and super happy.
“I just don’t want to see him get hurt and that was my main thing for Alex.”
Samira, meanwhile, also voices her concerns about Ellie and Zara to Alex himself, saying perhaps the two new girls are only interested in him because they know he’s not currently coupled up romantically.
However, the ever optimistic Alex is willing to give it a chance.
He bags a date with both Zara and Ellie on Monday’s episode, when they are given the chance to choose three men each to have dinner with; one man has to make the starter, one the main and one the dessert.
Zara opts for Alex for starter, Eyal Booker for main and Adam Collard for dessert, while Ellie picks Josh for starter, Wes Nelson for main and Alex for dessert.
Alex heads into both dates feeling good, even saying: “If it goes well I might go for the kiss tonight!”
