Could Abi Franklin and Steve McDonald be set for a shock romance next week when the former junkie makes a move on the Street Cars boss?
The smooch comes after Steve upsets Abi when she overhears him telling Beth that he thinks Abi’s twins are better off in care than with their mother.
Beth is annoyed with Abi as she thinks she’s trying to muscle in on organising Tracy’s hen-do, when after the ladies have a great night out in Blackpool, Abi suggests they do something similar for the do.

But a disgruntled Beth points out that she’s the maid of honour and tells Abi to back off.
Outside the Rovers, Beth spots Steve and they have a bitch about Abi, not realising she’s overheard.
Angry Abi decides to get her own back on Steve by persuading Tracy to make the first dance the focal point of the wedding, knowing that Steve will hate the idea.
She also discovers that Steve lied to Tracy about going to Amy’s concert, heading to a football match instead and that he gave her Karen’s old engagement ring.
But what will she do with this plethora of information? She uses it to drop him in it and force him to agree to the first dance plan of course!
Relations between Abi and Steve soften later in the week when she isn’t able to connect with the twins during a home visit.
When one of them goes missing, it’s Steve who finds the runaway in the ginnel and they say they want to go back to their foster home.
Steve arrives too late with a parcel from the post office – a present for the twins – and finds Abi in tears because her kids would prefer to be with their foster parents than with her.
Later Abi goes missing and when Seb and Emma head off to look for her, Steve confides in Eileen and Tracy that he blames himself after what he said about her.
Steve heads off to look for her himself and eventually finds her drunk at the tram station.
He’s shocked when she drops a bag of heroin and finds himself talking to her about Ruairi, the baby he and Michelle Connor lost last year.
He encourages her to pull herself together and concentrate on rebuilding the relationship with her children.
Grateful Abi kisses him on the lips leaving Steve stunned – just before Tracy arrives to take her home.
Later in the week Tracy accidentally pushes the pair together when she sends Abi shopping for an engagement ring with Steve.
Will Steve and Abi end falling for each other? And where will that leave Tracy?
