Daisy Lowe tonight became the eighth contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing, after being up against Greg Rutherford in the dreaded dance off.
The judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ vote to decide the two lowest-scoring couples to face each other.
This week, that was athlete Greg and his professional partner Natalie Lowe, and model Daisy Lowe with her professional partner Aljaž Skorjanec.
Both couples performed their routines from last night’s show again; Greg and Natalie did their Paso Doble to Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela, while Daisy and Aljaž performed their Salsa to Groove Is In The Heart by Deee-Lite.
After both couples had danced this second time, Tess asked the judges, based on the dance off alone, which couple they wanted to save and their reasons for saving them.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Greg and Natalie and said: “Well this couple totally and absolutely nailed the dance this time round, and that couple is Greg and Natalie.”
Darcey Bussell chose to save Greg and Natalie and said: “Both couples upped their game beautifully, gave great performances making it very difficult, but the couple that had more dynamic effect, Greg and Natalie.”
Bruno Tonioli chose to save Daisy and Aljaž and said: “What a clash of titans, Venus the Goddess of Love and Mars the God of War both wonderful, but for me I kinda found the Goddess of Love irresistible, Daisy and Aljaž.”
Head Judge Len Goodman had the casting vote and chose to save Greg and Natalie and said: “Well obviously because it’s a split decision that shows the closeness of this competition however I have to go with my brain not my heart and my brain tells me for a far more polished and technical performance I go with Greg and Natalie.”

Daisy’s professional partner, Aljaž said; “Firstly thank you, you’ve been the most joyous in rehearsals.
“On the weekends, you’ve taught me so much, you are the most beautiful person, inside and out, you’re a beautiful dancer and thank you for making this Strictly unforgettable for me, thank you.”
