Stacey Solomon has spent the past four months embracing her body hair after deciding to ditch the razor and go au natural.
But on Friday night, Loose Women panelist Stacey felt it was finally time to dust off the Gillette and remove her fuzz – but you won’t believe how long it took.
Writing on Twitter, Stacey told her 1.5 million followers that she had spent more than two hours getting ready for a date with her boyfriend, I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp host Joe Swash, but the vast majority of that time had been spent shaving.
She said: “I spent exactly 2hrs 20 minutes to get ready to see @realjoeswash tonight, 2hrs we’re dedicated to shaving (I’m not joking).”
Stacey then admitted that she was left most baffled by the fact that, after all of that, she STILL wasn’t silky smooth: “My velvet dress just got stuck to my 5 o clock shadow. #WhatsItAllAbout??”

Praising Stacey for her honestly, one follower replied: “I can’t help but think that everyone needs a Stacey in their lives!! Brutal honesty at its best.”
Another added: “This actually made me choke on my cup of tea lol!! So real and so funny lol.”
Stacey first revealed she was giving up on hair removal back in November, alongside her Loose Women co-stars. The gang decided to ditch the razor for two months as part of the ITV show’s Body Confidence campaign.
Weeks later, Stacey revealed how much her armpit and leg hair had grown, telling viewers: “I feel like I’ve taken it to the next level! My armpits aren’t that bad. But I did decide to vajazzle my leg hairs because I was so excited.
“They’d grown so long that I thought I’d add a bit of colour, some glitter. They’re actually a lovely accessory!”
What shocked Stacey most, however, was the number of negative comments she received.
Speaking to her fellow Loose Women panelist Nadia Sawalha, who said she was actually quite “jealous” of the amount of hair she had managed to grow, Stacey said: “If you had legs like these, people would honestly be so physically offended by you.
“I’ve had so many comments like, ‘Oh my God woman, just shave your legs’. The anger from people about my body hair is just remarkable.”
