Let’s face it, it’s always hard to see someone else thriving at a job you really, really wanted.
Especially when it’s still fresh and you’re having those angry irrational thoughts of obviously you think you could do it better and deserve it more.
So you have to feel for poor old Sinitta, 53, who has been rather unceremoniously dropped from X Factor this year in favour of Cheryl, 34.
Ouch.

While it’s been widely reported for weeks now that Simon Cowell has chosen Cheryl over Sinitta for judges’ houses, being constantly reminded of the fact is clearly a sore point for Sinitta.
Hence her bizarre social media rant on Tuesday night after seeing a tweet reminding everyone to tune in to watch Simon and Cheryl and pointing out Sinitta “missed out” this year.
Eek. That’s gotta sting.
Never one to mince her words, Sinitta fired back: “Yes! Ok!! Got it!! Why don’t you add #NurNurNurNurNur! Stick it up your nose!
“Stop telling me 1,000 times. Stupid Bad Mannered Boring Annoying.”
Yikes Sinitta, why don’t you tell us how you really feel?
Some fans tried to cheer Sinitta up, with one replying: “We’ll ALL be secretly (or not so secretly) wishing it was you though.”
Another said: “Don’t worry – you’re still the queen.”
A third told Sinitta: “I wouldn’t worry, most people have switched off.”
And as fourth reassured her: “I’m gutted you won’t be doing it, use to love seeing you on the show.”
Sinitta’s made absolutely no secret of the fact she’s fuming to have been ditched from Simon’s judges’ houses, after becoming an X Factor stalwart over the years.
She told The Sun she was miffed, saying: “I’m behind them 100 per cent. But Cheryl doing judges’ houses – that’s a little below the belt.”
And in another chat, she said: “[Cheryl] needs to stay in her lane a little bit. I love you Chez but don’t even go there – not that I’m bothered.”
She added: “You can’t look like that, have hair like that, have Liam, have the perfect baby, the perfect body, the perfect face, be a pop star, be drop-dead gorgeous and take judges’ houses.”
Of course, it was joking, but perhaps there was a teeny tiny bit of truth?
Cheryl flew to the South of France this week to help Simon choose which of his groups to bring through to live shows.

It’s a triumphant return to X Factor for Cheryl, who served as a full X Factor judge between 2008 and 2010, and 2014 and 2015.
The less said about her brief stint as a US X Factor judge the better, though…
Maybe next year, Sinitta?
