Reports this morning suggested that Jenna had been given the boot from her role as Michelle Fowler, when the decision to leave was actually a mutual one.
Jenna took to Twitter to set the record straight.
She told her 11,000 followers: “Just for clarity, I wasn’t “axed” just fancied doing something else. Nothing else. Have a great day x”

A spokesperson from EastEnders also confirmed the reports about Jenna being axed were untrue, telling Entertainment Daily: “Jenna is a terrific actress who has loved her time on the show playing Michelle and it was a mutual decision to write the character out.
“We wish Jenna all the best for the future.”
Well wishers responded to her tweet, wishing her luck for the future and hoping she’ll be heading back to her theatre roots after her soapy stint.
Jenna arrived in Walford at Christmas 2016 having fled her Stateside home since splitting with her husband.

It soon came to light that she’d been having a relationship with an underage pupil, Preston, who later followed her to the UK.
