Good news for Hollyoaks fans as star – and new mum – Jennifer Metcalfe has revealed she’ll soon start filming her return to the show as minxy Mercedes McQueen.
Jen’s been away from Oaks since having baby Daye last June, but she’ll start filming again next month.
“Daye is ready for nursery now and his next chapter, and I’m ready to have a bit of a life as well,” she told OK magazine.
And she added that she’s really excited about her return to Hollyoaks.
“Whenever I go back, I always go back with a swing in my step,” she said.
Mercedes left the village last year with cousin Goldie McQueen, after getting mixed up in the ‘who killed Amy Barnes’ mystery.
Goldie’s already back in the show, and with her older brother Sylver McQueen arriving soon too, along with Mercy’s return, the McQueens will be back on top.
And it’s not just all good for the McQueen family.

Jennifer told OK that she and partner Greg Lake have never been happier since little Daye’s arrival.
“It makes you closer because Daye is a bond that we’ll have forever now, but we’re still the same,” she said.

“We’re still silly and we still have time for each other. We make time to go out as well.”
