Nigel Havers has teased his ‘brilliant’ Coronation Street comeback.
The actor plays conman Lewis Archer in the soap and will soon be returning for the first time since 2013.
Speaking to Zoe Ball On, he said: “Well, I was in Manchester doing the play [ART] and it just seemed to make sense to me to walk across the river, go into the studios and do a little bit of work – which I did!”
Lewis’ last stint on the cobbles saw him con Gail Platt out of £40,000 before fleeing with her money.
Nigel also teased that the plot that was so good he had to agree to return to the show.

He said: “I have to say the plot that they send you is just so brilliant that you just cannot say no.”
He added: “That is the thing about Corrie, the plots are just fantastic.”
Nigel also revealed how long he has returned for.
Teasing it, he said: “A bit.”
During his last stint in Weatherfield, the former male escort wooed Audrey Roberts before ripping her off and moving onto her daughter Gail.
He broke Gail’s heart after convincing her to take out a huge loan against her house and telling her they were going to start a new life together in Greece.

Instead he stole the money and left a video message for the Platts, telling Gail he never loved her and was getting her back for ruining his relationship with Audrey.
He moved to Belize leaving a devastated Gail with no chance of recovering her stolen money.
But now he’s back, will Gail finally get her revenge?
