Former Celebrity Big Brother star Stephanie Davis has admitted that she regrets how her dramatic love life has been played out in public.
Stephanie, 24, hit the headlines for her controversial on-off relationship with Irish model Jeremy McConnell, who took a DNA test to prove he was the father of her two-month-old son Caben-Albi.

But now she’s worried that people might forget she’s an actress.
“I feel everyone’s got a bit lost in the whole… they’ve categorised me as this reality TV star and that’s not me. And never has been,” said Stephanie, who has previously dated singer Zayn Malik and model Sam Reece.
Stephanie began her career as a child actress, and appeared in BBC talent show Over the Rainbow before starring in Hollyoaks for five years.
“I’ve worked hard since I was younger. All the shows, and the grafting I’ve done and the auditions and everything, you know?” she added.
Steph was speaking on Simon Gross’s The Showbiz Show, and she also said:
“Growing up in the showbiz world… everyone thinks ‘showbiz! It’s amazing’. And they never see that dark side.
“Everyone wants to be famous but when they get it, it’s like you wish you could just go back.”
Stephanie and Jeremy split shortly after she fell pregnant, and took public swipes at each other on Twitter.
The new mum has admitted she was upset at the negative publicity. “I was being portrayed in such a bad light. I got so much hate and even death threats. I could never go back to that time in my life.”
She and Jeremy have been on better terms since the birth of their son, though. “At the present time they’re co-parenting and it works,” said a spokesperson for Stephanie.

“Stephanie would like to thank everyone for all the support that they continue to give.”
