Stephen Mulhern appeared stunned when he was asked whether he would get in a car with pal Ant McPartlin.
Last year, Ant was handed a £86,000 fine and banned from driving for 20 months following a drink-drive crash.
Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen appeared on Heart Breakfast on Wednesday and was asked about his friend and Britain’s Got Talent co-star.

Their chat kicked off with host Jamie Theakston asking Stephen whether or not he could have filled in for Ant on last year’s I’m A Celebrity instead of Holly Willoughby.
Stephen said: “I could never have done as good a job as Holly did and Ant does. I think they made the right call going with a female because then you can’t compare.”
Jamie then asked how Ant’s getting on with his return to Britain’s Got Talent and Stephen said: “He’s brilliant, he’s on top form. It’s all good, all the family is back together.”
But then Jamie asked: “Would you accept a lift from him though?”
Jamie’s co-star Lucy Horobin laughed and exclaimed: “Jamie!”
Stephen looked unimpressed with the question and shook his head in disbelief.
Jamie then took the show to a break.
Last month, Ant admitted he’s still haunted by his drink-drive crash.
The award-winning presenter, 43, crashed his Mini into two cars in West London last year and police found he was twice over the legal limit at the time of the smash.
Recalling the crash, he told The Guardian Weekend magazine: “I’ve constantly relived the incident. I know how serious that could have been and I am doing things on a daily basis to be a better man.”
A young boy who was travelling in one of the car’s Ant hit feared for his life, screaming: “I’m dying mummy.”
Ant added to the publication: “I thank God every night that nobody was seriously hurt. I constantly think about it.”

Following the incident, Ant stepped down from TV commitments and took the rest of last year off to attend rehab and work on his addictions.
Meanwhile, fans of Ant and his telly partner Dec Donnelly will be able to get a deeper insight into the presenter’s roller coaster few years after it was announced a new documentary will look at his “trials and tribulations”.
