Frank Lampard could be swapping football boots for dancing shoes, if Strictly bosses get their way.
The former England captain retired from the beautiful game last month and is now believed to be top of the wish list for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Frank, 38, would be waltzing in the footsteps of his TV presenter wife Christine Bleakley, who took part in the BBC show back in 2008.
She finished in fifth place, with her professional partner Matthew Cutler.
With Frank believed to be keen to move into TV presenting, a turn on the Strictly dance floor could be a perfect move for the Chelsea legend.
A Strictly source told The Sun: “It’s the time of the year when the wish list is being drawn up and Frank Lampard is one of the names that ticks all the boxes.
“They would love to have him on board so we will see how things progress in the coming weeks.
“He has impressed people with his hilarious appearances on Play To The Whistle and comes across as a natural for a big TV series like Strictly.”
Since Frank officially hung up his playing boots, wife Christine has also hinted that it might be the right time for the couple to have a baby.
“Now he has retired, we are getting used to a new routine and we have got more time to do things together,” she said.
“We have weekends together and even Saturdays which we have never had since I have known him. He is definitely more relaxed. All the stress of football every week has gone.”
It could be so long Chelsea, hello cha-cha…
