This year’s Strictly Come Dancing is set to include another successful YouTube star.
Despite reports of a call to ban social media celebs after YouTuber Joe Sugg got to the final in Strictly 2018, bosses have booked vlogger Saffron Barker for the new series.
She said: “I’m looking forward to learning all of the dances, finding out who my partner is, getting to wear the costumes and to just experience this once in a lifetime opportunity.”

She is known primarily for her YouTube channel, where she keeps her millions of subscribers up to date with her life. She vlogs about topics ranging from fast food and her parents to tattoos and fashion.
She also sets herself humorous challenges to prove she is able (or not able) to do an embarrassing, physically demanding or otherwise hilarious task for an extended period of time.

According to The Sun, it saw Saffron tell her followers: “Obviously, it’s really sad, someone did get hit by a train. But it meant that I couldn’t get home.
“And it wasn’t just I couldn’t get home, it was just the most stressful thing. They were doing no buses to help anyone. I was in an hour taxi line stood in the cold.”
She later apologised for the comments.
