Strictly EXCLUSIVE: You’ll never guess who Ore Oduba is fearful of sharing dancefloor with

The Olympic presenter reveals he’s stunned by his fellow dancer

Listen closely for a minute and you should be able to hear the terrified sobbing of Simon Cowell as BBC’s Saturday night entertainment juggernaut Strictly Come Dancing returns for another series.

And it’s not looking great for Simon, who is already coming to terms with last week’s debut episode of The X Factor pulling in the lowest opening night figures in ten years.

Why? Because this year Strictly has pulled out all the stops to maintain their Saturday night lead over The X Factor by signing up some of TV and music’s biggest stars!

Earlier this week, Entertainment Daily joined the stars of the show at Strictly HQ.

They dutifully informed us that they were all enjoying training, were feeling nervous and were in awe of each other.

Well of course they would say that first week!

Let’s see what happens as the weeks progress and it gets more competitive. Murder on the dancefloor anyone?

Anyway, one of the stars is BBC sports presenter Ore Oduba,

Ore says he’s really feeling the nerves because he’s actually competing in the same competition as Olympians Greg Rutherford and Claudia Fragapane.

It was only a few weeks ago he was reporting on them during the BBC coverage of the Rio games.

“It’s bizarre being on the same page as Greg and Claudia, because I have looked up to them as Olympians,” he told us.

“I have always admired what they do and It’s weird that we are now starting on the same level. We’re starting from square one.”

He added: “It’s just amazing to actually share the floor with Greg and all of the dancers. I have watched this show since day one.

And there was a point through the group rehearsal and I thought ‘wow, I’m in Strictly Come Dancing.’

“It’s been so much fun, so overwhelming.”

But Ore says he’s not just worried about the sports men and women on the show. The rest of the celebs are tough competition too.

“Everybody is a mover in this group,” he laughed. ‘

“They are amazing and you are like ‘oh my god, the standard is so very high.’

“Everyone is throwing themselves in to it, every can over because everyone wants to move.

And this was just the first rehearsal. We hadn’t even learnt out moves yet.”
