Strictly Come Dancing’s Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez kept us guessing about their relationship status for an agonisingly long time.
They seemed to be getting closer and closer the further the last series went on, until it appeared inevitable they’d get together.
Finally they did, but they tried to keep it as low-key as possible.
Now, one of their former co-stars from Strictly has spoken out about the couple, describing them as potentially already “in love”.
Aston Merrygold told The Express: “I probably saw Gorka a lot more, I’ve got a lot of time for Gorka, he’s a really good guy. The times I spent with Gemma, I think she’s really cool.”

He went on: “During the show, I didn’t realise they were getting that close and they’re together now, so it’s great, they seem very happy, and very much, if they are not already, on the way to being in love so it’s great.”
You hear that? The L word is already being floated, so it sounds as if things are definitely getting serious!
As well as dishing behind-the-scenes chat from Strictly, Aston’s had his hands full with new parenthood.
His firstborn, Grayson Jax, entered the world in January and it’s been a rollercoaster since then for the pop star.
In a recent video, he described the love he had for the tot, saying: “You know that moment for the very first time your son just, when you change his nappy he just [bleeps] all over the place like a fountain and it goes all over your leg, so you have to get changed in the middle of the day.”

No doubt if things go in that direction for Gemma and Gorka, they’ll have someone to turn to for advice…
The couple confirmed their romance with a sweet holiday photo on Valentine’s Day.
Gemma later confirmed they hadn’t actually got together until the Strictly live tour in January, despite constant stories linking them during the series.
She said on her Key 103 Breakfast Show: “I have known him for nearly six months now but during the show we only saw each other at the weekend.
“Obviously everyone was saying we were together but we genuinely weren’t. We saw each other at the weekends because he was training in London and I was in Manchester.
“We would just go for coffees and stuff on Sunday – not every Sunday – but you can’t get to know someone just by seeing them on a weekend.
“It wasn’t until the tour started and we were together all the time that we were like, ‘Oh, this could work.’ And it did. So far!”
