It all got a little spicy on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing after singer Will Young tackled Len Goodman over his salsa.
Stalwart judge Len, said that Will’s performance lacked the amount of salsa required to give the dance its name.
Early favourite Will channelled his inner Pussycat Doll for his Salsa to Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny) on movie week with partner Karen Clifton.
But Len, who is taking part in his last series as head judge, told the pair he thought there was a lack of salsa in the dance.
His criticism prompted the singer to bite back, telling Len there was lots of salsa in the dance which reminded everyone of a similar episode on Pop Idol almost 15 years ago involving Simon Cowell and Will.
Then, Will hit back at Simon who told him his performance was “average”, causing the entertainment giant to back down and call the show’s eventual winner a “gentleman”.
But Len didn’t take it so well, telling Will he should “turn up, keep up, shut up”.
Twitter was divided over the clash.
But whoever’s side you were on, everyone enjoyed it.
And Will did clear up the clash, telling Claudia Winkleman he “loves Len” and “did not want to come across as disrespectful.”
