Strictly Come Dancing’s Alexandra Burke has apologised to fans after being snapped wearing a coat with a real fur trim.
She was spotted in a Canada Goose jacket which was lined with animal pelts, embarrassingly just four years after posing naked for animal rights charity PETA.

Alexandra stripped off for the high profile campaign which had the strap-line ‘I’d rather go naked than wear fur.’
She took to Twitter to apologise, claiming she didn’t know the coat was made with real fur and swore never to wear it again.
She wrote: “I’ve just learned the sad truth of how a coat I wore recently was made. I am an animal lover, as most of you will know I have 4 dogs.
“I should have asked how it was manufactured and now I know, I will never wear it again.
“I am really sorry for any hurt or upset I have caused xx.”
Fans had slammed Alexandra for her choice of outerwear, even branding her ‘disgusting’ for wearing the jacket.
One angry animal lover tweeted: “Just throwin it out there that Alexandra Burke wears real fur coats made from skinned wolves even after joining a campaign against fur. Disgusting #Strictly @bbcstrictly (sic).”
Another added: “Alexandra Burke is a #fake, she was seen on her VT last night wearing fur on her jacket #CanadaGoose . Clearly she only did the PETA thing just for PR.”
While a third wrote: “Alexandra Burke….poses for PETA anti-fur campaign then proceeds to wear a real fur trimmed coat. Disappointing.”
Luckily for Alex, her apology seemed to do the trick and fans praised her on Twitter for saying sorry.
One fan said: “As you never knew what it was made of you are not at fault so don’t worry, BTW I think you’re an amazing dancer and a lovely person. Let’s see you win Strictly.”
Another agreed, tweeting: “We knew you weren’t aware!! You are not one to go against your word. Don’t let it get to you though, your intentions are always good. I miss you, you fabulous human xx”
And a third wrote: “Oh no 🙁 you didn’t know so don’t beat yourself up about it xx”

Alex caused confusion on Strictly at the weekend when she apparently called new head judge Shirley Ballas ‘Arlene’, referring to Arlene Phillips who was a judge on the show in, er, 2009.
