Strictly Come Dancing’s charming head judge, Shirley Ballas is clearly a catch – and now she’s opened up about wanting to be caught, saying: “I’d like a man older than me!”
The professional dancer, who has been divorced twice, has been single for three years, but she’s now looking for love.
Speaking to The Mirror the 58-year-old said: “I’d like a man older than me, kind, caring, understanding, sweet and who makes me laugh. And fun!”
The mum of fellow professional dancer Mark Ballas insists it’s her own fault she’s single, saying: “I’m hopeless, hopeless, hopeless! I never get it right!”
Her ex-husbands, Sammy Stopford and Corky Ballas, were both pro dancers, and she revealed that she’s stayed “cordial” with both.
Shirley says: “When I married Sammy we were both just so young. Everybody got married back then but it just didn’t work. But I’ve had a hugely successful career and I owe a lot of what I learnt to him, because he was already a top professional and I was a nobody.”
