Tess Daly has told Strictly Come Dancing fans they’ll start finding out this year’s celebrity line-up next week!
The show’s co-host has confirmed the names of stars taking part will be released from Monday, August 13.
Not long now, then!
Tess, 49, confirmed the exciting news via Instagram after sharing photos of herself and co-presenter Claudia Winkleman larking around on set as they filmed a Strictly promo.

She said: “Got to snuggle up to this one today @amiclaudiawinkleman. So excited for our first day back to work. PLUS we found out the new celeb cast for STRICTLY 2018! Can’t wait to share it with you…!#strictly.”
When one fan asked when the cast would be announced, Tess replied: “The names start being released on August 13th.”
So soon!
Naturally, that little nugget of information went down a storm with Strictly fans who are desperate to find out who will be competing for the 2018 mirror ball trophy.
One said: “So exciting! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”
Another wrote: “I cannot WAIT!!!!! The best programme on telly!!!!”
A third added: “Champagne (thank you, Lidl) in front of the telly every Saturday night, and the perfect countdown to Christmas. You bring pure joy to me, Tess! Thank you!”
Others agreed that Strictly makes them think of Christmas, as it runs from September until December, with one quipping: “This means I need to unpack the Christmas decorations……”
As always, there have been a slew of rumoured celebrity contestants in the mix including Cheryl, Coleen Rooney, popstar Faye Tozer from Steps and Olympic diver Tom Daley.
Other names linked to the show are ex-I’m A Celebrity champion Scarlett Moffatt, Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley, Capital FM radio host Vick Hope and 80s television presenter Anneka Rice.
The latest celebrity rumoured to sign up is Pussycat Doll and former I’m A Celebrity contestant Ashley Roberts.
A source told The Sun: “Ashley was a no brainer for the bookers. She’s sexy and sassy and has a bit about her.”
There have been some grumblings that Ashley has dance experience, given the Pussycat Dolls’ dancing background, but the insider insisted “there’s a difference between dancing in a girl band and doing ballroom.”

Of course, Strictly always refuses to comment on whether any of the rumoured signings are actually accurate, preferring to let fans find out through official announcements.
