Thandie Newton has told how Victoria Beckham was left “mortified” after she confused the Line Of Duty actress for Zoe Saldana.
British actress Thandie, 45, said that she bumped into the Spice Girl turned fashion designer, 44, in Los Angeles.
The Westworld star recounted the story on The Graham Norton Show, when she and fellow guests were asked who they resemble.

“It’s Zoe Saldana,” said Thandie.
“Recently I was in … LA and Victoria Beckham, who I have actually met a few times, was there.
“We were chatting away when she said: ‘It’s so great that you are here when you are pregnant.’
“I said: ‘I actually had my baby a couple of months ago.’ We carried on chatting and it was obvious she thought I was someone else, so I said: ‘Do you think I am Zoe Saldana?’
“Victoria was absolutely mortified! It was actually OK as Zoe is a rare beauty, but really? Up close? Come on! And, I am British!”
Thandie joins Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum, as well as singer Jake Shears on Friday’s show.
The Graham Norton Show airs on Friday at 10.35pm on BBC1.

Meanwhile, Victoria has made a cheeky statement via her fashion following accusations she didn’t smile enough at the royal wedding.
She posed on Instagram wearing a jumper (from her own range, obvs) featuring the slogan: “It’s a dark but happy place.”
Victoria told fans: “When you’re smiling on the inside 😂😂😂 As the sweatshirt says!! Let your sweatshirt do the talking – get yours now exclusively at my website and #VBDoverSt x VB #DarkButHappyPlace.”
Fans were quick to praise Victoria’s sense of humour and tell her not to worry about whether she smiles or not in public.
Victoria and retired footballer husband David were among the 600 guests who watched Prince Harry tie the knot with former actress Meghan Markle – now The Duchess of Sussex – on Saturday.
Cameras caught Victoria and David, 43, arriving at Windsor Castle and finding their seats, which led cheeky TV commentators including Phillip Schofield and Dermot O’Leary to joke about Victoria not smiling.
But chatting to the Evening Standard, Victoria said she had the “best day”.
Victoria said: “It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked so happy, and everybody was just so happy for them. Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman, who really loves him.
“It felt very real, very honest.”
