Ant McPartlin appears to be starting his life as a 42-year-old as he means to go on – lean, clean and beaming.
The I’m A Celebrity host shared pics of his birthday celebrations from Down Under yesterday – and he looked like he’s determined to put his troubles behind him.
Ant was joined by best pal Dec as he was presented with an exquisite cake from the Versace hotel, where they reside Down Under while filming the show.
The birthday boy also shared a more personal cake, which apparently featured a pic of his beloved pooch, chocolate Labrador Hurley.
Despite working on his birthday – he and Dec filmed the celebrities’ meet and greet ahead of them being dropped in the jungle – he found time to thanks his fans for their well wishes.
Ant will be back on TV tomorrow night alongside Dec, for the 15th series of I’m A Celebrity.
Millions of viewers will be delighted to see him, particularly as there was speculation he might miss this year’s show, as he battled illness.
Over the summer, the Geordie star revealed he had been struggling with depression, booze dependence and an addiction to painkillers.
He booked himself into rehab, initially in the UK, and later in LA.
