Viewers of the chase took to social media to voice their rage at a MASSIVE error that could have wrongly sent a contestant home.
Sophie was required to answer a question about the popular app, Pokemon Go, as she battled to avoid being caught by genius chaser Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett.
The question was: How many different Pokemon are there in ‘Pokemon Go’?
Sophie and Mark both had to choose between 51, 151, or 251.

While Mark opted for 151, Sophie took a punt on 251, and was told she had answered incorrectly.
However, eagle-eyed Pokemon Go fans were quick to point out that while 151 was the initial number of Pokemons, there were now many more.
Understandably, people were livid!
One fan pointed out on Twitter: “Sorry #TheChase Pokemon Go has been updated since so that “correct” answer is incorrect.”
Another fan added: “Omg that Pokemon go question is wrong!!!!
“The actual answer is 251 for sure- just looked it up on my phone #thechase Sophie was right!” Said someone else.
Providing evidence, someone else insisted: “@ITVChase sorry to say this but the answer to your Pokémon go question was wrong as I have 233 and most of them are all different #PokemonGo.”
Mark took to Twitter to defend the answer, saying: “There were 151 Pokemon in the original Pokemon GO. More have been added in Gen 2 #thechase”
But there was someone else who wasn’t having that as an excuse:
“Even prior to the gen 2 release there weren’t 151 Pokémon available in Go!” said one.

However one viewer didn’t care for the eruption of video game chat on the trivia show’s social media, chiming in: “Rather too much Pokemon geekery on #TheChase.”
Justice for Sophie!
