It was rumoured that Ant McPartlin has been helping to script I’m A Celebrity while Holly Willoughby fills in for him alongside Declan Donnelly, but it has been confirmed that is not the case.
A spokesperson for ITV has confirmed to The Mirror online that Ant, 43, has not been involved with this series of the show.
It comes after ITV weathergirl Emma Jesson claimed she had heard Ant was vetting Holly, 37, and 43-year-old Dec’s scripts on I’m A Celeb.
Emma tweeted: “I am informed that Ant was consulted for scripted Holly & Dec links for @imacelebrity series 2018.
“Top move production team if this is the case, can see his hallmarks there.”
The tweet has now been deleted.

This now lays to rest the previous rumour that Ant had some involvement in the way his absence was addressed on the ITV show.
The presenter, who is dating his assistant Anne-Marie Corbett, is currently taking time out of the limelight following his arrest for drink-driving.
He was given a 20-month ban and fined £86,000 after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
He is also currently amid a divorce from ex Lisa Armstrong.
Ant previously gave Holly his blessing to host the show, tweeting: “All the very best of luck to the little fella and @hollywills for the show tonight. Lots of love from the big fella!! A #ImACeleb.”
Holly has won praise from viewers after taking on the task, with fans dubbing her a “natural” fit.
Some have even said they would like to see her stay for good!
One tweeted: “I’m absolutely loving @hollywills on I’m A Celeb, her and dec work really well as a duo. @ITV maybe think about keeping her on next year too!”
