ITV’s new drama The Widow continued last night (April 9th) and left viewers with some burning questions that, unfortunately, had nothing to do with the development of its plot or characters.
Episode one aired on Monday night and had telly fans scratching their heads with its twisty narrative, and episode two only raised more questions.

Viewers who noticed some apparent blunders in the wardrobe department have been wondering how lead character Georgia Wells, played by Kate Beckinsale, manages to keep her appearance so pristine.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “How does Kate Beckinsale keep her one T-shirt so dazzlingly white?”
Another tweeted: “Looking forward to Kate Beckinsale’s unfeasibly white vests in #TheWidow.”

Others took umbrage with her hair-do and how it was seemingly impervious to the humidity of Congo.
Someone commented: “I have so many questions but my most important one is how the hell is Kate Beckinsale keeping that ponytail so perfect?! #TheWidow.”
Another said: “The humidity of the Congo should really be getting to Kate Beckinsale’s perfectly coiffed ponytail by now #TheWidow.”

It follows an ITV announcer mispronouncing Kate Beckinsale’s name when episode one aired earlier this week.
The Widow tells the story of Georgia and her search for her husband Will (Matthew Le Nevez) who died in plane crash three years earlier.
His body was never recovered and, when Georgia spotted him in a news report, she travelled to Africa on a mission to uncover the truth.

In the second episode, we saw that the mysterious note Georgia received in the previous episode, telling her to ‘go home’, only made her more determined to find her husband
Early on, we saw a crate being delivered by Joseph (Thabo Malema) and Gloria (Balindile ka Ngcobo) and assumed it contained something unsavoury.

Later, its contents were revealed and we saw it contained Will, still alive as Georgia knew he was.

The Widow, which has so far been in direct competition with the BBC’s gripping new crime thriller The Victim, continues on Monday (April 15th) on ITV at 9pm.
