There is a BIG change in store for the Britain’s Got Talent lives

Mwah ha ha judges, the power is now all ours...

This year’s final of Britain’s Got Talent will see a massive change, as the judges no longer have the power to put acts through from the semi-finals.

Stephen Mulhern revealed the change on BGT spin-off, Britain’s Got More Talent.

He said: “This year there will be no judge vote. No judge vote at all.

“This means that the two acts who go through each night will be those with the most public votes, so it’s all down to you guys at home.”

Before this year, the finalists were decided with a combination of viewers’ votes and judges’ decisions. But no more!

Not going to lie, we’re clutching our phones and feeling all kinds of powerful right now.

Will we vote for DJ Dizzy Twilight? Do we fancy seeing dancers Grace and Ali again?

Oooh, should we make a cheeky case for pianist Tokio Myers and the Missing People Choir?

Then there’s the Golden Buzzer acts like dance troupe Merseygirls, magician Matt Edwards and singer Kyle Tomlinson…

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden do get a tiny bit of involvement as they will choose a wildcard to go through to the final. So it’s still worth doing your hair and turning up, guys.

After a cracking series so far, next week will see all 40 of the remaining acts perform in the nightly semi-finals, AKA the week when we lie about why we can’t go to the pub to stay on our sofa with some crisps every single night.

The semi-finals will feature guest stars like Alfie Boe and former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello in the episodes, which air at 7.30pm. Totally messes with the soap schedule but we’ll let them off.

An all-star line-up (including Diversity and last year’s winner Richard Jones but most importantly, LITTLE MIX!) will join the top performers on stage for the grand final on the 4th June.

The winner gets a slot at the Royal Variety Performance later this year and a whopping £250,000 pot of prize money. Buy us some crisps yeah, guys?
