While the TV schedules are still catching up with themselves after the festive period, we’re being treated to a cheeky extra episode of Coronation Street tonight, straight after the second helping of Emmerdale.
And when we’re not kidding when we say it’s not one to miss.

First up is Steve McDonald finding himself in a tricky situation when Tracy finds out he’s handed a £10,000 cheque to Michelle. He’s then forced to explain that he no longer has any feelings for his ex-wife.
Meanwhile, Michelle has to convince Robert that accepting the money from Steve – who insists it was a mistake in the divorce settlement – isn’t accepting charity.
Elsewhere, evil builder Pat Phelan is busy lining up his ducks for his latest plan.
This includes plying Seb with drink and getting his fingerprints all over the gun that shot both Vinne and Andy last year.
Uh-oh.
This sets the scene for Phelan’s dramatic showdown with Luke tomorrow night as the mechanic continues in his quest to find out the truth about Andy.
Eileen gets a shock when she is visited at work by the police who inform her that Todd and Summer’s disappearance is now under investigation.
She’s relieved that they’re not bringing bad news about her son, who hasn’t been seen on the cobbles since before Christmas, but is rattled they’re asking lots of questions about his Christmas Eve flit.
It transpires they’ve had a complaint from Summer’s grandmother, Geraldine, who’s said Todd has taken Summer without the consent of her family.
The police also pop in to see Billy who’s informed Todd is being sought out for abduction, making it clear he’ll be in a lot of trouble if he ever comes back.

We know that won’t be the case however as actor Bruno Langley who played Todd was sacked from the ITV soap last year after being charged with two counts of sexual assault.
It was reported earlier today that several of his Corrie cast-mates are rallying round him, despite him pleading guilty to the charges in November last year.
