This Morning host Ben Shephard has revealed that he’s been diagnosed with ADHD.
Ben, 49, said back in 2022 that he didn’t have “an official diagnosis”. However, in a new interview he has confirmed that his suspicions were correct, and revealed how it impacts his day-to-day life and his carer.
Ben Shephard shares health diagnosis during break from This Morning
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ben revealed his diagnosis – and how it impacts his day-to-day life.
In the candid chat, Ben shared: “I’m bad at switching off and look at my phone a lot for work, which drives Annie mad.”
The presenter then added: “I have ADHD, it runs in my family, so I can navigate several different channels at the same time.”
‘Online tests’
Previously Ben spoke to Woman, revealing that he thought that he had the health condition.
At the time, he said: “I don’t have an official diagnosis. But a member of my family has been diagnosed with it and it’s usually hereditary in some capacity. I did a few tests online that have indicated that I do have a leaning towards that side of neurodiversity, undoubtedly.”

Ben Shephard planning surgery
Elsewhere in the new interview, Ben spoke about his plans for surgery as he approaches the big 5-0. Ben turns 50 in December and he’s considering upper eyelid surgery, he revealed.
“My dad and brother have already had it,” he quipped.
Ben previously admitted that he wasn’t adverse to having a few adjustments as he ages.
He said: “I wouldn’t rule out doing something. I’ve sorted out my teeth now, which my wife had gone on about for years. My wisdom teeth were all smashed up. So I have adjusted bits and bobs along the way.
“You want to look your best on TV.”
