Vic and Babs Howlett, who have known each other for 40 years, were on This Morning telling their story inspired by Sir Tom Jones and Priscilla Presley.
Sir Tom Jones and Priscilla Presley hit headlines when it was revealed that they were dating, after first becoming friends thanks to their late spouses.
And this is exactly what happened to Vic and Babs.

The couple – who are both in their 80s – met through their partners who worked together in a school.
Vic’s wife Jo passed away in 2006, and then Babs’ husband Bob died shortly after.
After going through similar experiences with losing their partners, the couple would often meet up for a chat but Vic made the first move by inviting Babs on a Caribbean cruise after saying he had been “lonely” living alone.
As “feelings became stronger” Vic bit the bullet and proposed to Babs but she said no originally.
But, he wasn’t going to give up that easily!
He then asked her again and she said yes.
Babs said: “I had this feeling if I said no again, I’d lose his friendship as well.
“He wanted to cement the friendship. He didn’t know what to call me, his girlfriend, partner, he wanted something more permanent.
“We have a super time together, we’re always laughing, we go on holidays, we’re out and about all the time”.
The duo explained to presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford that their previously lovers Bob and Jo would be happy that they found love with each other.
Vic said: “In the few weeks before she passed, Jo said, ‘I don’t mind if you find someone else’, and I said, ‘I haven’t given up on you yet”.
