Former This Morning star Dr Ranj Singh has revealed his Christmas didn’t go quite as expected.
Dr Ranj took to Instagram on Sunday (December 29) to give fans a glimpse of the scary injury he sustained over the weekend.
The medic, who quit This Morning in 2021, is now “living his dream” by being a part of & Juliet’s official UK tour.
However, it seems his Christmas was far from dreamy…
Dr Ranj Singh hospitalised
This Morning’s former resident doctor was far from thrilled to spend part of the Christmas holidays in the hospital – but he is doing fine now.
Dr Ranj posted a selfie on his Instagram Story, revealing a white plaster on his forehead. He wrote in the caption: “Not quite how I planned to spend my Saturday night.”
Fans were worried, of course. And the TV presenter went on to explain the incident in the following post.
He apologised for sharing the picture without context and said: “I slipped and face-planted the pavement. Earned myself five lovely stitches.”
Ranj thanked fans for “messages of concern” as he said it was “all sorted”.
Dr Ranj is busy with theater
After denying wild claims that he has “lost medical license”, Dr Ranj is thoroughly enjoy himself in his new projects.
Currently a part of the & Juliet team, he has “absolutely fallen in love” with musical theater after landing a role earlier this year.
He plays the role of Lance in David West Reed’s “show-stopping” musical. The resident doctor pursued acting to step out of his “comfort zone” and “challenge himself”. The journey hasn’t been easy, he admitted. “It was a massive learning experience for me.”

However, he’s enjoying his role now that he’s got a better hand of it. He told RSP Live: “But now that we’re in the swing of it and we’re all settling in, and I feel like I know the role and I know the show, it has become so much fun. It’s still hard work, don’t get me wrong.”
He added: “But we’re having so much fun — and the audience sees that and they’re having fun with us.”
