Mollie King and Matt Edmondson took over hosting duties on Friday’s installment of This Morning.
This was Saturdays singer Mollie’s second time presenting the show after making her debut last week, while it marked a first for BBC Radio 1 presenter Matt.
Opening the show, Mollie told Matt: “This is very exciting! I see you’ve got on your smartest shirt that I’ve ever seen you wear.”

Matt replied: “You normally see me at the weekends on the radio where I do turn up in just my pyjamas. I do look a vision today.”
Mollie, who has competed on Strictly Come Dancing, said: “You really do. It’s because you’ve got your gran watching, isn’t it?”
Matt gushed: “She’s popped back early from her shopping. Hello granny! She’s very delighted that I’m on This Morning.”
He then told Mollie: “Also, that is the first and only time you’ve ever paid me a compliment,” to which Mollie joked: “Definitely the last time.”
It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the unique combo.
It seems some people weren’t keen with one person calling them a “random” presenting duo.
Another wrote: “Seeing Matt Edmondson and Mollie King presenting #ThisMorning is the weirdest thing. Especially as the latter can’t present at all.”
“Who are these people hosting This Morning?” one asked. “Are you just asking anyone now to host the show?”
A fourth person joked it was as if original hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, who are on their six-week summer break, had gone through a “time warp”.
Others, meanwhile, were delighted to have Mollie and Matt on their screens.
One person wrote: “OMG Matt and Mollie are on #ThisMorning. BEST. DAY. EVER.”
One person called the hosts a “great match” and both “naturals”.
Another person gushed about the pair’s “good chemistry” and said they are a refreshing addition to the programme.
Mollie, 31, made her presenting debut on the show last week alongside Good Morning Britain’s Ben Shephard.
As they opened the show, Mollie said she was very nervous about the stint.
She told Ben: “I’m very nervous, so good luck to you really. [I’ve done live TV before] but nothing really like this.”
Ben asked: “You ready for it?” to which Mollie said: “I think I’m ready but I’m absolutely terrified.”
Putting his arm around the star, Ben added: “You’ll be wonderful. Lots of support from everybody at home today.”
And despite Mollie being nervous, many praised her efforts and begged the show to have her back.
This summer, viewers have saw a variety of famous faces take to the This Morning sofa, including Rylan Clark-Neal, style expert Gok Wan and Lisa Snowdon.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have been hosting the show Mondays to Thursdays since Holly and Phil left for their summer break last month.
Holly and Phil will return in September.
