Lachlan White is fast becoming one of soapland’s most notorious villains, but it looks like we won’t have to wait too much longer for his reign of terror to come to a dramatic climax.
Actor Thomas Atkinson has revealed that viewers can expect the storyline to come to an end in the autumn during a chat with TV Times magazine…
“Lachlan thought he could outwit people, but things start to unravel. People, including Belle, start to notice that he’s behaving oddly.

“Lachlan doesn’t think he could hurt Belle, but who knows what he is capable of when put under pressure? He will do whatever it takes to hide his crimes.”
Lachlan has been on edge ever since causing the crash at the start of the year that killed his mum Chrissie and grandad Lawrence.
He has since then added best friend Gerry to his killing list after he discovered what Lachlan had done.
Rebecca has also found herself in the killer’s clutches after she found him trying to murder Robert Sugden and Liv Flaherty.
But next week sees some of Emmerdale younger residents accidentally stumbling upon the cabin that Lachlan has got aunt Rebecca locked up in.
The kids hear strange noises while camping and go back later in the week to investigate.
When Lachlan gets wind of the fact the children are off to investigate what they heard, it is a race against time for him to get to Rebecca before they do.
But with the pressure mounting and the end of this storyline finally in sight, where does killer Lachlan see his future heading?
“The best possible outcome for him would be that he gets away with the killings and lives happily ever after with Belle – but that’s unlikely!
