11. The Terminal
The Terminal once again saw Tom link up with Steven Spielberg and also had mixed reviews. Despite the film dividing opinion, no one could argue with Tom ‘s brilliant performance in a more serious role.
Based loosely on a true story, the 2004 movie sees an immigrant from eastern Europe (Tom) stranded in JFK airport, and must take up temporary residence there.
The Terminal didn’t do too badly at the Box Office, but the story was a very similar concept to Cast Away, which was always going to be hard to top.
