Gogglebox sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner took to the stage at the O2 to accept the show’s award for Best Factual Entertainment Programme last night.
However, all thoughts were on another star of the popular Friday night offering: Leon Bernicoff.
A firm fan favourite on the series from the early days, Leon passed away in December, and his death saddened millions.
Doctor Foster actress Suranne Jones presented the award and, on announcing who the winner was, she gestured up to Heaven and said: “God bless you Leon!”
As the Leeds-based sisters then delivered their thank-you speech, they too paid tribute to their beloved co-star.
“This is absolutely amazing and it’s a fabulous opportunity to be here and we’d just like to say thank you to the NTAs for having us, and a massive thank you to everybody who has voted,” they said.

“It’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve won so it’s a real privilege.
“Everybody puts so much hard work into it and we just want to say thank you and this is on behalf of everybody.
“We’d like to dedicate this award to Leon and June.”
Show creator Tania Alexander echoed that message, with another tribute on Twitter…
Fans watching at home shared their happiness about the special mention.
One wrote: “I am SO glad Gogglebox won, just in honour of Leon.
“So happy Gogglebox won and dedicated it to Leon,” posted a second.
Leon died at the age of 83 in Royal Liverpool Hospital on Saturday, December 23, after a short illness.

Channel 4 issued a tribute on Christmas Eve, ahead of the festive special of Gogglebox.
“Before Gogglebox begins we’re sorry to have to tell you the very sad news that Leon passed away in hospital yesterday,” the voiceover announced.
“He will be sorely missed and we dedicate tonight’s show to his memory.”
His legend will live on.
