TOWIE star SHOCK: ‘I lost half my body’s blood whilst giving birth’

She also hits back at those who said she will use the baby as a "cash cow"

Former The Only Way Is Essex star, Maria Fowler, has revealed that she lost half of her body’s blood whilst giving birth to her first child.

Maria welcomed Evie in to the world last week and has now urged people to give blood.

She has admitted that she would be “very poorly now”, if it wasn’t for the NHS blood donation service.

Maria, who has had a daughter with partner Kelvin Batey, took to social media to reveal the problematic labour after a “complicated” pregnancy.

She tweeted: “Want to thank @GiveBloodNHS for all that you do.After losing half my body’s blood without your services I would b v poorly now. Donate ppl x (sic).”

The TOWIE favourite has admitted her boyfriend has signed up to give blood, but she is now unable to because she had to have a blood transfusion.

When asked if Kelvin has donated, she responded: “He is already a donor. I’m on Antony Nolan register but can’t donate blood now I’ve had a transfusion xx (sic).”

But despite the difficult pregnancy, Maria feels overjoyed with motherhood and her little bundle of joy.

She tweeted: “On top of the (sic)” alongside an emoji of the world and a heart.

The TV personality has revealed she feels everything she has “ever” done feels so “minor and irrelevant” in comparison to parenting.

Maria has tweeted strong words as she hit out at online trolls who have attacked her over baby pictures.

She had posted some snaps of her newborn on social media but hasn’t included the baby’s face.

Some of her followers have suggested that this was because she was holding out for a lucrative magazine deal.

Maria countered that this was due to her daughter being “innocent, tiny and vulnerable” and that they “want to enjoy her ourselves”.

After fellow TOWIE star Lauren Pope pitched into the debate, suggesting that some people have “way too much time on their hands”, Maria replied that she wouldn’t use Evie as a “cash cow”.

After slamming those that had a dig at her new family, Maria is looking to enjoy all of what motherhood brings her.
