Uh-oh, there is definitely trouble heading Walford way as Tanya Franks is set to reprise her role as Tanya Branning’s troubled sister, Rainie Cross.

Fans will remember Rainie – who has previously been a drug addict and a prostitute – was last seen in the 2015 flashback episode when the Who Killed Lucy Beale storyline was coming to a head.
It turned out that Ian Beale had been paying for her services on the night his daughter was killed.
Rainie was also involved in a hugely controversial storyline when she got Phil Mitchell hooked on crack-cocaine. So Shirley and Sharon are going to be delighted to see her back on their patch.
Rainie will be joining the rest of the Brannings tonight as they say a final goodbye to Abi as the doctors turn off her life support.
It will be a brief appearance before she comes back full time later in the year.
Tanya said of her return: “It’s like never having been away. I love working with everyone at EastEnders.
“With John Yorke at the helm at the moment, the show is in good hands and I’m excited to explore the next chapter in Rainie’s journey.”
Rainie was last seen (aside from the flashback) in 2014 when she disappeared with mum Cora’s money after promising her she’d get clean.

With her colourful history with so many residents of the Square – none of it particularly good – we can’t wait to see what trouble she’ll be causing when she makes her full time return.
EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One
