Presenter Zoe Hardman has opened up about saving her baby daughter’s life after she suffered a seizure.
The new mum has described the moment as “the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent”.
“I heard this terrible noise on the baby monitor from the nursery and bolted over there,” explained the 34-year-old, during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
“Luna was shaking and convulsing. She was deathly pale and was having problems breathing.”
The Heart FM presenter had recently done a first aid course and sprang into action, applying what she had learned.
“I did panic – and as a parent, your first instinct is to pick your baby up, but that’s advised against.
“But then the training kicked in and I knew I needed to stay calm. I put her on the floor in the recovery position and called 999.”
Luckily, an ambulance then arrived within minutes.
“Her temperature had spiked at 40.9 and she had a urine infection. She might be prone to seizures, but she hasn’t had one since,” Zoe added.

The former Take Me Out: The Gossip host – who is in a relationship with rugby player Paul Doran Jones – was home alone with Luna and her three-year-old step-daughter, Isla, when the terrifying incident occurred this January.
Explaining why she had decided to do the life-saving course, Zoe explained: “I felt completely helpless after she was born and I did the course to arm myself with information.”
“It’s a terrifying thought that something could happen to your baby.”

She wants to encourage other parents to learn first aid, explaining: “If I hadn’t known what to do when she had the seizure, it could have been so much worse.
“It was so lucky that I’d had first aid training.”
