More flooding looks to be on the way this week – with Storm Sebastien expected to bring three inches of rain in the latest wintry washout.
The 900 mile wide tropical storm is also forecast to include 50mph gales – whipping up waves expected to be 22ft tall – when it hits the south of England on Tuesday.
Yellow weather warnings have been issued across the south west and south Wales and it is believed they will remain in place until Wednesday.
A Met Office forecaster warned Metro.co.uk: “Over the next three days there will be a lot of unsettled weather.

“There is a band of rain pushing north eastwards with heavy showers today.
“Storm Sebastian is expected to make landfall tomorrow, with a band of heavy rain pushing across the UK.”
It’s floods then freeze this week.
And the Environment Agency told The Sun’s website: “Rain could lead to flooding in parts of the south, south Wales, east and north-east.
“Coastal flooding is possible on Wednesday on the south coast of Wales.”

But temperatures will also plummet later in the week as cold polar air arrives – and it could be very chilly for most of the next two weeks.
Snow could also make an appearance in both the north and the south, with experts predicting a drop to below freezing.
“It’s floods then freeze this week, with -5C possible by Saturday night and snow risks in the north,” Weather Outlook forecaster Brian Gaze told the tabloid.
However, Monday night is expected to be misty and cloudy, with light showers scattered throughout the UK.
