Victoria Beckham has spoken candidly about her marriage to husband David, saying she strives to be the “best wife” she can.
The mum of four spoke about balancing her busy career with family life during a chat at the Forbes Women’s Summit in New York on Tuesday.
Former Posh Spice Victoria, 44, praised David, 43, for being a supportive husband and admitted she can “beat myself up” about juggling work and family.
“Like most women, I beat myself up. I’m trying most importantly to be the best mum that I can. But I’m also trying to be the best wife and the best professional,” she said, according to WWD.

“It is a juggling act and it’s not easy. Looking around, there are plenty of women who are in the same position as me. I’m trying and it’s hard.
“I have to remind myself, when I come home, ‘Put the phone down.’ It’s OK to not answer e-mails until the morning. Spend quality time with your children and David.”
Victoria did, however, confess she occasionally hides in the bathroom at weekends to check her email. Naughty!
The popstar-turned-fashion designer described David as an “incredible husband”, saying he always encourages her to follow her dreams.
She said without David’s support, life would be “very difficult”.
Victoria and retired footballer David will celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary on July 4.
The couple recently hit back at bizarre split rumours after speculation on social media alleged they were on the brink of announcing a divorce.
A rep for the couple bluntly shut down the strange rumours, saying: “There is no statement due or divorce. This is just fake social media news.
“This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time. There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news.”

Victoria previously told Grazia of her former footballer husband: “I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and beautiful, healthy, happy children.
“Yes, we travel a lot with our respective businesses and charitable commitments, but we always make time for each other as a couple and as a family. David and I have nothing to prove. We love each other, look out for each other and are strong as both partners and parents.”
