Pat Phelan’s cellar drama took its darkest turn in Coronation Street tonight as two people wound up dead.
Earlier this week, viewers saw him drug arch-nemesis Vinny and drag him to his dungeon.
He had promised his long-term tenant/prisoner Andy that he would finally earn his freedom, by bringing on a new victim.
But, of course, he wasn’t to be trusted.
Tonight Phelan manipulated broken Andy into shooting Vinny dead, guaranteeing this would be his way to out.

Viewers later witnessed Andy’s lifeless body.
In a chilling scene, Phelan prayed to God before saying: “I’m really sorry kid. I had to.
“You wouldn’t have been able to live with yourself.”
Well, truth in madness and all that.
