Corrie fans worked themselves into a right old social media frenzy last night after Nicola Rubinstein told her dad, Pat ‘Mad Dog’ Phelan, that she’s up the duff by Gary Windass.
Now, as we all know only too well, Gary and Phelan aren’t exactly the best of friends. And can you even imagine him co-grandparenting with Anna?
Nope.
Judging by Phelan’s face when he heard Nic’s happy nappy news, we kinda reckon that Daniel Osbourne may have unwittingly escaped a future chained up in a dingy basement, making way for Gazza.
But viewers were more interested in HOW Nicola even knows she’s pregnant, given they only did the deed during the ad break on Friday, September 29!
It was the hot topic on Twitter.
One viewer wrote: “How can Nicola be pregnant immediately when she only slept with Gary only last wk it’s BS from bunny boiler from her I reckon (sic).”
Another said: “She only slept with him 3 weeks ago. Same old story line being rolled out again!”
“She must be psychic to know she is pregnant already. They only slept together last week,” came another complaint.
A further fan pointed out: “I’m sure her and Gary only had sex about 2 days ago quickestpregnancyever [sic].”
Hmmm, all good points. We’ve been trying to work out if it could be possible. But if her period had been due in the following day or two after the romp, the likelihood of her getting pregnant in that least fertile of times is very slim.
Could she – cough – be lying about it? We sense there is something a little dark and sinister…
