We were very excited to learn the news yesterday about Jacqueline Jossa’s baby joy – she’s expecting tot number two with husband Dan Osborne.
But then we started doing the maths, and after lots of counting on our fingers worked out that Jacqueline was probably pregnant a little way before Christmas.
And in fact, would very likely have been when she filmed her dramatic EastEnders Christmas scenes.
Scenes, may we remind you, that involved a pretty physical stunt – falling off the top of the Queen Vic!
Jacqueline has since admitted that she WAS pregnant when filming the scenes in question, and decided to go through with them anyway.
She told OK Magazine: “EastEnders were great and gave me the option of not continuing with the scenes as they were planned. But I was desperate to and also knew how safe it was.”
“The stuntman reassured me that I had nothing to worry about as I only had to step back a short distance and fall onto some foam and it was actually really good fun.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Jacqueline admitted she’d planned on keeping her pregnancy secret from her co-stars, until screen mum Jo Joyner – who plays Tanya Branning – twigged.
Jacqueline said: “We were standing in the rain and she said: ‘It’s a good job no one is pregnant,’ then she looked straight at me and gave me a knowing look! I wasn’t planning on telling any of them but she caught me off guard and I ended up confessing.”
Jacqueline’s character Lauren Branning is currently being written out of the soap, with her final scenes due to air next month.
It’s not been confirmed exactly how she’ll be leaving Albert Square, but knowing Lauren it’ll be with a bang, not a whimper!
Jacqueline already shares baby Ella with Dan, with Ella’s third birthday approaching in February.
Dan wowed his fans a few weeks ago by revealing an incredibly lifelike tattoo featuring his son, Teddy, from a previous relationship, and Ella.
Looks like he’ll need to have it upgraded in the near future!
