Emmerdale fans were left reeling after it was revealed that Tracy Metcalfe has been keeping some pretty big secrets – and her dark past could have put her in danger!
Viewers took to social media to express their shock at the storyline – which came out of the blue as Tracy worried hubby David was cheating on her with his ex, Priya.
Furious after finding a text on David’s phone, Tracy headed to the pub where she got drunk with Phil, the handyman who’d come to do some repairs to the shop.
At one point, Tracy thought she recognised her drinking buddy and asked if she’d met him before.
“I’ve just got one of those faces,” he said.
And when she told him her name, he repeated it.
“Tracy?” he said. “Nice name.”
Later, Tracy confronted David, who made her feel bad about doubting him.

He told her – honestly – that he hadn’t cheated with Priya (while forgetting to mention that he had done the dirty with Leyla – seriously, what a rat!) and the pair put their differences aside.
“Put the past in the past,” said David, clearly thinking that he’d got away with his night of passion with Leyla.
But while the couple were canoodling in the street, someone was watching – with no intention of putting the past in the past. It was Phil the Hotton handy man!
As it turned out, he wasn’t just some random stranger. Tracy had been right when she said she recognised him.

He sat in his van, watching Tracy and looking at an old photo of Mrs Metcalfe, wearing some rather saucy gear.
“You might have changed your name,” he muttered to himself. “But you haven’t changed one bit.”
Over on social media, the fans went wild, worrying about what this all meant – and what Phil’s got planned for poor Tracy.
“Looks like Tracy’s saucy past is about to come back and haunt her,” said one viewer.
“OMG the handyman knows Tracy,” gasped another. While another said: “So Tracy isn’t Tracy?”
Some fans were protective of their fave, with one writing: “Weirdo leave Tracy alone.” And others worried this meant big danger for poor Mrs M.
“You’re in trouble girl,” wrote one concerned viewer.
Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy, was snapped in a video shared by Emmerdale showing some of the cast on a photo shoot.
She said the photographer was doing some “edgier” looks for Tracy because the pics were to promote a new storyline “which is quite edgy”.
“A bit of her history comes back,” she said. “Someone from her past comes into her life and it gets quite dark.”
We just hope Tracy makes it out of this story alive!
