Coronation Street fans were left in shock this week after finding out that one of their favourite stars is quitting the soap!
And you’ll never guess how they found out!
It’s all thanks to one of its loose-lipped cast who only went and let slip that they were leaving.

Well, folks, it’s Catherine Tyldesley who sparked the news.
But don’t worry, she’s not the one who we’re talking about here.
She’s actually the clumsy so-and-so who went and dropped the clanger!
She has foolishly revealed that gorgeous Tish Merry – who plays Steph Britton – has decided to quit Weatherfield.

According to reports, her final scenes have already been filmed and are set to air over the New Year.
A source told the Sun: “Tisha has had an amazing couple of years where she’s been at the fore of some of Corrie’s biggest storylines, but feels it’s now time for a change.”
Corrie bosses had hoped to keep Tisha’s shock departure under wraps so that fans would be surprised when the episodes aired in January.
But naughty Cath, let the cat out of the bag by posting a throwback pic of herself posing with Tisha and their co-star Katie McGlynn on Instagram.
She captioned the snap: “These sexy ladies. Gonna miss our Tish.”
Tut, tut, Ms Tyldesley. Remind us never to tell YOU a secret!
Show bosses are remaining tight lipped about how Tisha will actually leave the show, but we’re expecting her exit to be exciting.

After all, Tisha’s character Steph has had more than her fair share of dramatic storylines since arriving on the cobbles four years ago.
