Love Island has got everybody in a tizz and has racked up hundreds of complaints, but not isn’t for the reason you’d expect.
A record-breaking 2 million viewers switched on to last Monday’s show after couples got it on, but it’s smoking that’s riled them all.
Yes. There have been more Ofcom complaints about the lads and ladies smoking than them getting down and dirty in the bedroom.

The broadcasting regulator has received 46 complaints so far, and 24 about smoking, but doesn’t compare to the hundreds of people taking to Twitter to air their annoyances.
They have since released a statement, saying: “We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate.”
Shockingly, all of the islanders, apart from Montana Brown and her love interest Alex Beattie, smoke.
Viewers took to social media slamming the show for promoting smoking.
“Love island is basically just an 8 week long smoking advert [sic]”, said one.
One sarcastically stated that smoking must be “part of the criteria” to go on the reality show.
Another said that the one thing that stood out the most was that girl-next-door Camilla smoked.
However, there are a few that are getting fed up of people complaining about their habit.
A viewer told others to get a life.
“Imagine having the time to complain to OFCOM because you’re offended people are smoking…”, said another.
The show airs after the 9pm watershed, but has still got them all complaining.
Despite the negativity, Love Island has beaten Big Brother in ratings and even boasts Liam Gallagher and Holly Willoughby as fans.
And as for the naughty nature of the show, it’s to show how a real relationship develops.
Commissioning editor Amanda Stavri told The Guardian: “We don’t want Love Island to be a grubby show. Yes, we include some sex scenes, but the truth is, sex is part of relationships and part of every couple’s journey.
“We’re not interested in the act itself, more why the couple have decided to take their relationship to the next sage and how it might impact the rest of the group.”
With the live final airing later this month, there’s no doubt that there will be plenty more drama in store!
Tune in tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
