Good Morning Britain viewers were left disappointed and underwhelmed earlier today when they discovered Piers Morgan still hasn’t returned from his TV break.
Regular co-host Susanna Reid was also missing from the studio, leaving Charlotte Hawkins and Kate Garraway to anchor the show with Sean Fletcher.
But a lot of fans were so dissatisfied at missing out on Piers Morgan first thing in the morning they threatened to change channels to BBC Breakfast, tweeting: “I’m missing your banter!”
Piers, 53, hasn’t disappeared entirely, however. The former newspaper editor posted a snap of himself out for a glamorous dinner with Joan Collins in Los Angeles while GMB was on the air.

One viewer described Piers’ absence as a “bad start to the working week” and promised to reach for the remote.
Bad start to the working week, @GMB B team delivering the news, dull, dull, dull, where is Pierce?? I’m off to BBC!

And just hours earlier another fan tweeted Piers himself in hope of finding out when he will return.
.@piersmorgan @susannareid100 @GMB. May I please ask when Piers is back on? I’m sick of Madeley!

But not everyone was as devastated to see Charlotte and Kate in the big seats, with one commenter dubbing them the ‘A team’.
“So much fun with these ladies,” added another supporter.
Piers, who recently celebrated his birthday with former TOWIE star Mark Wright, announced he would be taking an indefinite break from GMB earlier last month as the show moves studios in London.
He said at the time, having recently signed a new two-year contract with GMB: “I won’t be back for a long time, so you can all relax now.”
It had been thought he would return to morning TV after Easter.
Good Morning Britain is on ITV, weekdays, from 6am.
