Coronation Street’s Rana faces kidnap as parents reject her love for Kate

This is too horrible to contemplate

Rana Nazir could be facing even more trauma when her parents discover she is still seeing Kate Connor, Metro.co.uk reports.

According to a source, her parents will swoop in and take her away, in a desperate attempt to stop their daughter’s gay relationship.

Fans were delighted yesterday when Faye Brookes and Bhavna Limbachia appeared on This Morning and an exclusive clip was aired, showing their characters declare their love for each other.

The women are set to have an emotional heart to heart next week which will see Rana accept the fact she is in love with a woman – and share a kiss.

But, as we all know, the path of true love never runs smoothly and it doesn’t look like Kana aren’t having their happy ending just yet

A show insider told the site: “Just as things start to come together for Rana, there could be more hurdles on the way – as there always is with the best soap couples.

“Can Rana and Kate overcome this? And will Rana’s parents manage to whisk her away from the Street and out of Kate’s life for good?

“Fans should brace themselves for more troubled times ahead.”

How much more can we take?

Rana is currently trapped in her marriage to Zeedan after her parents offered him cash to stay with her for a year.

The deeply religious couple worry that Rana’s sexuality would bring shame on them.

Would they go as far as kidnapping their own daughter to keep her away from the woman she loves?
